Tom Lander, Broker in Charge for Coldwell Banker Advantage Lillington, is a native of North Carolina who was born and raised in Albemarle, NC. He moved to Wake County in 2005 after having lived in three states and ten cities. Tom says Wake County and the surrounding area has been the best by far. He points out that this is a great place to live for convenience, career opportunities, affordable housing and medical care.
Tom worked for 32 years in the textile industry and took early retirement in 2000. He moved to North Myrtle Beach and after 6 months got bored and earned his real estate license. He started in May 2001 as a sales agent, quickly became very busy and was hired by Coldwell Banker Advantage as the Broker in Charge in Lillington in January 2010.
Tom's philosophy has always been to work with clients to make their dreams come true. Tom feels that if you treat people fairly and honestly you will have all the business you need from referrals.
Tom says his management style is to let agents run their own business and then make himself available when/if they need him. "My people skills are my strengths." Agent who work for Tom say he is "easy to work with."
Tom has two grown children and four grandchildren. In his spare time, Tom plays golf and enjoys going to college football and basketball games. Tom's four grandchildren also keep him on the run with baseball, golf, flag football, basketball and tennis.
